On Saturday, February 18th, Quitman County Hornets played the Dooly County Bobcats in the 1st round of the State Championship Games. The Hornets were successful in beating the Bobcats 70 to 67. Top scorers in the game were: Laqueveus Nelson-28 points which included 4-3 pointers, Jadarian Gibbs-15 points which included 2- 3 pointers, Shahee Billings-12 points which included 1-3 pointer, and Destin Scott-11 points.
The Hornets will travel to Macon County on Thursday to compete in the 2nd round of the playoffs.
